Students majoring in biology sciences disciplines are supported by academic advisors and faculty mentors. Your advisor helps with course planning and academic progress, while your faculty mentor—an expert in your major and career field—offers guidance tailored to your goals. Mentors can help you choose upper-level courses, find research and internship opportunities, explore graduate or professional school options, and prepare application materials like resumes or personal statements. This dual support system ensures you receive both academic and professional guidance as you move toward your future career.

Find Your Advisor & Faculty Mentor

- Click 'My Records' and view the 'My Advisors' tab.
- Click 'Get Advising' and follow the prompts to schedule with your advisor.

Special Considerations

If you have recently transferred to NKU Biological Sciences from another institution, contact Lynn Crane.
If you are a current NKU student who would like to newly declare a major with Biological Sciences, contact Heleen Giesbers.
If you are a current NKU student within Biological Sciences and have not been assigned an academic advisor, contact Lynn Crane or Heleen Giesbers.
